Here's the surprise: this agricole doesn't taste grassy or vegetal at all. The French oak wine finish steers it toward red fruit, kirsch and cocoa, with delicate oak and fine spice underneath. Tasters call it round and gourmand, rich on the palate with a long, gentle finish. Give it a few minutes to open up first — several found it closed on the first pour.

A very pleasant, gourmand HSE, with a lovely nose of red fruits, spices and woody notes. On the palate, the nose is confirmed, with fine cocoa on a background of red fruits, spices with a not too pungent pepper, elegant woodiness, and a well-rounded finish with a hint of freshness.

A slightly more balanced rum compared to the Sauternes finish. The nose seems more closed at first, but the palate is more expressive. Red fruits and dried fruits join wood and spices to form a smooth rum on the palate, lifted by the notes of the finishing wine. The finish is long and delicate. A fine HSE finish.
