Old Brothers LPCH
Most tasters call this a well-built Jamaican blend, though a few wanted more individuality. The nose gets the loudest love — tropical fruit, solvent, olive and almond, with a pastry-and-spice side. On the palate it's fruity, roasted and woody, with the 60% surprisingly well tucked in. One reviewer found it a touch flat after that huge nose, so opinions do vary a little.

Funky, fruity high-proof Jamaican blend A cleanly blended, funky-fruity Jamaican most people rate highly. The nose wins everyone over; a couple felt the palate stayed straightforward and wished for more complexity.

Superb and super well done. It is excellent. Perfect balance between a fruity/ester side and a pastry/chocolate side. I loved it. Really, if it wasn't so expensive, it would be directly in my rum cellar...

An intoxicating nose! The olive joins the tropical fruits in a comforting woody. A mouth with a fresh and yellow attack. Soft and marked by stewed fruits. The finish is light but delicious.

With such a wild blend of Clarendon (Monymusk), Hampden and Long Pond you have to be skeptical at first, but I must say that the interaction of the three is extraordinarily well done! It also strikes me that the nose changes over time, at the beginning more the MM, then HD and finally the LP. The palate is also convincing: toasted aromas, complex fruit (peach, melon, pineapple) and olive. On the finish, grilled, caramelized banana.

Sacré blend très Bien fait.. Pas le plus exuberant

This one was crazy, I could get the Jamaican funk from jus poring the rum into my glass. Once rested it was a really intense nose, and that in a good way. Funky and fruity from start to finish with a medicinal and roasted wood touch. Price to quality is pretty good.

A fine example of a successful Jamaican blend. The nose is elegant and extremely rich, marked by tropical fruits, solvents, olive, almonds and smoked notes. The palate is marked by these fruity and smoky notes accompanied by olive. The alcohol is very well integrated. The finish is long and quite sweet, with the same fruity and smoky notes and a touch of caramel. A complex, greedy and expressive rum which represents very well the Jamaican terroir.

Taste on the fruit. The alcohol is felt, it could have been divine if it had been better integrated.

The nose is already great...a nice interplay of fruit , spice and pastry! On the palate it spreads creamy and quite intense..after initially some fruit, young wood, slightly toasty and lots of delicious spice! A touch of black tea joins in!The finish is medium long, strong with espresso and spice notes!Actually, I'm not so a friend of blends, but this and the WuDram Finest Jamaica please me quite well

Nose blew me away and very surprised, but then rather flat on the palate. Price is unfortunately too high for this

A rich and complex blend that confused me.I know Long Pond, Clarendon and Hampden and their respective markers but I had a hard time finding my way around this blend. So it was both confusing and cool. Lots of very ripe fruit. A very well integrated alcohol. A certain acidity that doesn't spoil the greediness.
Review by Jakob
Aged Jamaican without frills. Straightforward profile with plenty of fruit and tart wood notes. Qualitatively absolutely solid, but will not remain in my memory for too long due to the lack of originality.

Loaded with esters. A little too surprising for my taste.
