Velier Bielle Full Proof 2001
One taster called this the most "agricole-y" of the 2001 sisters, and that's the hook: sugar cane sits right up front, next to dark dried fruit, furniture polish and clear oak. It leans dry, spicy and woody start to finish, with a menthol edge and a whisper of chocolate and vanilla. The 52% is cleanly integrated. Only knock most agree on: a finish that runs a touch short.

04.03.2017 Whiskymessen by whisky.dk with a few friends and also trying some whisky samples. Notes. A very nice and well balanced rum. Very nice Agricole notes with a long finish. I have since tried several of the 2001 releases and they're all really good.

Rhum Bielle LMDW 2001 X-Tasting: Ein einzigartiges Set welches Daniel hier ausgegraben hat. Mit zunehmender Zeit wird dieser Rum immer komplexer, die Aromen intensiver. Man kann gefühlt ewig an dem Glas sitzen und entdeckt neue Aromen! Dieser hier ist insbesondere in der Nase fruchtiger als die anderen. Alkohol wirklich perfekt eingebracht!

Epic BIELLE 2001 Tasting. Ein toller Jahrgang, das Set war durchweg von hoher Qualität. Einzig RX5741 und RX4918 waren mir eine Spur zu holzig/bitter. Es gab auch einen eindeutigen Sieger, das Fass welches Kirsch ausgewählt hat war für mich das intensivste, harmonischste. Hier war eine perfekte Mischung aus Holz,Frucht und Gewürzen. Der Blend ist auch toll, aber mit 45% leidet etwas schwach am Gaumen. Insgesamt glaube ich das hochwertigste Set was ich verkostet habe und wird man glaube ich so nie wieder bekommen.

"Großes Bielle 2001 Cross-Tasting": Holy moly wie unterschiedlich können paar Schwesterfässer sein?! Wollt ihr mich eigentlich verarschen?😄 Mega geil. Der hier ist deutlich Agricole-iger und näher am Zuckerrohr sowohl an der Nase als auch am Gaumen. Alkohol perfekt integriert, quasi keine Fehlnoten. Wenn man es etwas trockener und fruchtiger, sowie geradliniger und weniger komplex und dafür umso eleganter mag ist man hier richtig aufgehoben. Sehr lecker und am Abgang entfaltet sich eine dezente Süße mit einer leichten Bitterkeit die an angebranntes Creme Brulee erinnert. Dazu etwas Birnen-Kompott mit eingelegten Rosinen. Grandios!

A bielle full of surprises.first of all, a darker nose at the beginning which, as the minute goes by, becomes very greedy and round with sugar cane and fruit.on the palate, another surprise with green fruit, vegetal, woody and spicy notes.a little disappointment on the slightly short finish.

The nose is dark and concentrated with lots of dried fruit and furniture polish. The palate is slightly fruitier, more vegetal spices and a slightly minty finish. Complex and very woody from start to finish.
