J.B. Labat Batavia Arrack E.D Dekker's

One member sums it up as "the best lightly aged arrak" around, and the reviews back that. Only a year old but already loud: fermented tropical fruit, red bell pepper, chilli, buttery cheese notes, and esters that a couple of tasters compare to Long Pond or a Clairin. It's funky, vegetal and a little raw — a bartender's bottle that shines in a daiquiri as much as neat.

The community says
  • Ester-driven funk
  • Great in daiquiri
  • Niche arrack style

Funky, vegetal young arrack for cocktails Tasters treat it as a benchmark young arrack — complex and round despite the short aging, though the vegetal-fermented profile is niche and the finish turns a touch bitter.

Very good real and authentic Batavia arrack. Mega board in the daiquiri & arrackiri! Absolutely on a par with the one from by the Dutch, if not a tad better. Unfortunately only available in Switzerland at Labat in Zurich! Really nice product. PS: be sure to order arrack drinks in the embury bar in Frankfurt!

Arra(c)k 2.0 tasting by Artur.

Klasse Abfüllung, extrem komplex hnd rund trotz kurzer Lagerung.
