Kléren Nasyonal Clairin Vieux
Softer than most clairin — that's the surprise here. This Haitian cane-juice rum trades the usual raw, brachial punch for something more approachable: sugarcane and brown sugar up front, young wood, banana and a peppery, clove-tinged finish. A few tasters flag a yeasty note and a nose that leans hot, but several call it a gentle way into the style.

Reminds me of the Clairin Sajous from the Oloroso Cask. Just a little less depth. Nice "entry" Clairin, which comes less brachial and daunting.

Nope this is not the same quality of veliers iterations. Unfortunately there is this weird yeast note, that really puts me off the whole thing. It really shows how excellency is a careful choice. Happy to have tried this
