8,9:On the nose, tar and rubber, menthol, smoky, roasted wood notes, oaky, caramelized, roasted nuts, tropical and candied fruits, bump into our nosetrils. On oxidation, confectionery with gingerbread, yellow fruits and orange arise, round at first slight dullness. 9,2:On the palate, the attack is delicious, balanced with charred wood notes, oaky, but buttery with butterscotch, sweet, industrial notes like rubber and tar, some menthol, yellow and tropical fruits.On aeration briny olive arises and some tobacco. 9:The finish is long, round, creamy, as charred wood notes pair industrial notes and dried fruits..

Communitytreffen RumX Acht Oktober 2025. Nur Granatenrums hier :-) Toller Caroni. Kandierte Früchte, Teer und Rauch in der Nase. Am Gaumen haben wir dann Tabak, Menthol und Eiche, außerdem leichte gelbe Früchte. Hervorragend.

Simply excellent, a little more fruit to go on the perfection.In the nose the tar marker is made very greedy with the caramel and the candied fruitsIn the mouth it is top it is very round very elegant with the tobacco, the shoe polish to cash the vanilla me caramel the candied fruits and especially a beautiful mentholated freshness. The final is very lo gue on the same markers.

First RumX meeting. Un nez extrêmement ample, large et surtout profond. Des notes d’atelier mécanique au premier plan mais partagées avec des fruits tropicaux, frais et trop mûrs. Un nez fabuleux ici. La bouche est ample, large mais je n’y retrouve pas la profondeur du nez. Des notes de Bourbon, de fruits jaunes, un côté doux (noix de coco et biscuits) viennent encore s’ajouter rendant ce rhum super complexe. La finale est longue, très longue avec tous les arômes présents et qui diminuent lentement. Une splendide sélection de fût qui fait penser au magnifique Caroni 1997 Sponge #1 (RX8715).

The markers are clearly present... yet it's suave, soft, almost creamy... the tariness comes later, with a medicinal freshness, the finish is long and persistent.
