Berry Bros & Rudd Foursquare Barbados Rum 2010

Sipped neat, this pours like a rounded, oily Foursquare with wood up front, faint pineapple and coconut, and a warm, naturally sweet finish. A few tasters caught a wine-cask lean toward dried fruit and honey. The catch several noted: it stays soft and could be more expressive, and more than one couldn't tell it was Barbados at all.

Very nice Fsq. Rounded, tasty, fsq style, not much alcohol taste. It just could be more expressive. ... Foursquare je destilerka z Barbadosu produkujici uzasne rumy ke kazdodennimu popijeni. Je to rum, ktery oceni zejmena rumari, kteri maji plne zuby cukru a hledaji jemny, nasladly rum plny kokosu, vanilky, cokolady a karamelu. Proste prijemne a nijak agresivni chute.

A very interesting rum for me as I didn't know it was Barbados...first taste was a light, rounded rum, with a warm finish and a 48% guess...I like the rum, it's my style. After the second taste, the Foursquare signature and woodiness is already there, while at the same time I can smell a bit of compote, fruitiness or honey.

A heavy wine cask influence. Sweet and warming tastes of dried fruit. The Foursquare underpins the rum but it isn’t tastes very different from an ECS release or the like which I think tend to retain more of the rum/ bourbon barrel aspect.

Nutty and woody aroma. Taste absolutely identical to the aroma. I smell milk chocolate, but it's quite possible it's the chocolate 🍪taste before. Still, this is a very good rum. I probably wouldn't know it was Barbados.
