Bologne Grande Savane Rhum Bio 2021
Agricole drinkers who like their cane juice fresh and citrus-driven will feel at home here. Lime, sugarcane and a floral-herbal edge lead, with a thick oily mouthfeel and a peppery kick on a long finish. At 61% it's surprisingly drinkable neat — one taster even flags a "buttrig-käsige" buttery-cheesy note that oddly works. The one gripe: the nose runs light for the proof.

Most helpful positive review
This rum from the Bologne distillery in Guadeloupe comes from the Grande Savanne parcel/plot where Bologne grows yellow cane. The nose is sweet, herbal, fruity, round and oily with scents of citrus and pineapple. At the palate it’s round almost velvety, sweet, tangy, oily and a little bitter with flavors of citrus and sugarcane. The finish is long and peppery.

Brought directly from Guadeloupe, I was very happy about that! Very drinkable for 61%, even neat, but also goes well in a daiquiri. The buttery, cheesy note is particularly exciting. Sounds strange, but it's great!
