14.02.2026 Retasting and I still like it a lot. ----------- Wow, this is a game changer. A super high quality release from Guildive. If you like to release more flavours the add a drop or two of water! Funky from opening the bottle to the end of the long finish. Fruits are there and mostly on the nose where you get an overripe/rotting fruit note. On top of that you have the other typical Jamaican notes. The palate is warm and well balanced between the tar and glue on one side and the fruit and vanilla, salt and chocolate on the other. The finish is very long and lightly salty with banana and funk. Price is pretty good.

Very good example of the 1993 Hampdens, already on the slightly sour-smoky side, but also with a broad range of aromas around the obligatory high ester fruit notes of pineapple, mango, citrus fruits. The 23 years of aging add strong wood notes, spices, a bit of olive, and sweet pastry notes. Extremely intense in a positive way and among the top continental-aged Hampdens.

Un nez de fruits tropicaux beaucoup trop mûrs, des esters et un bois intégré. Un côté colle, fermenté et vernis à ongles aussi. La bouche est bien puissante avec les mêmes arômes qu’au nez avec un côté fermenté plus présent. La finale est équilibrée, et tous les arômes descendent de concert, la colle reste encore plus longtemps que le reste.

1993 HD continental - schon ziemlich krasses Zeug, was die Jungs aus Zürich da gefunden haben. Einst als Ladenhüter sehr lange unter dem Radar geflogen, da man ihn nur in der kleinen schweizer Szene kannte, wird er mittlerweile von vielen Sammlern ( vergeblich ) gesucht. Sehr breite, vielschichtige Fruchtaromen, sehr gut eingebundener Alkohol, intensiv und lang im Abgang, da bleiben wirklich keine Wünsche offen.

This is a nice diamond h, and a nice easy version of it. It doesn't fall into the traps that most of the 93 fall into and becomes to woody and acidic. It unfortunately also means that this one will stand behind its potential
