Fine Spirits Beenleigh Rum of the World: Rum of Mystery 2014
Not the punchy Australian molasses bomb the wild label promises — this one drinks light and restrained. You get honey, pear and orange up front, some young oak and vanilla toffee, then a quiet, "sombre" finish. Several tasters found the Beenleigh signature but wished for more weight: pleasant and a little unusual, without the body to back it up.
