The Lovers Rum VIII La Forza
Caramel and vanilla up front, with a light Jamaican lift — citrus, lime, a bit of tropical fruit — over a spicy, nutty core. At 47% it's dry and shows some heat in the mouth, but stays balanced. A couple of tasters found it edging toward bitter and burnt; most just call it a tasty, well-made blend that shines in a daiquiri.

Really nice blend. Makes an extremely drinkable and tasty figure in any daiquiri. The nose gives you the feeling of sitting on the beach and enjoying a vacation. Citrus fruits, limes, a little caramel. Really delicious!

The Jamaican influence is there, there's some pep, some fruit, it's pretty cool even if it remains wise, with a little vanilla and caramel. A well-balanced rum, with a little strength, but quite dry. Not bad.
