"Dirty dirty Fiji," as one taster grinned — and that's the pitch here. Woody and smoky lead, with tropical fruit, waxy honey and ester underneath, then a first-fill oloroso finish drops in raisin sweetness and a nutty edge. Several members clocked the sherry before they clocked the Fiji. Creamy on the palate at 58%, though a couple felt the alcohol wasn't fully tucked in.

This is a sample I just got and I have to admit it was a very nice meeting I had with it. The nose is fresh and fruity with light smoky wood and grass. As it rests the nose gets more clear and fruity. The palate is creamy with smoky wood, fruit and a hint of coffee. The finish is medium long with smoky wood, fruits and light coffee.

Fiji with typical notes of waxy honey, dirty smoke, tropical fruits... Unfortunately, no plastic here. What bothers me a bit is the alcohol on the nose. All in all, though, quite good and the price-to-enjoyment ratio is okay.

Dann gab es als letztes noch diesen Kingshaven gestern Abend. Hat mich tatsächlich überrascht. Ist wirklich sehr holzig und rauchig, in der Nase hat man auch tropische Früchte. Am Gaumen kommen dann Kaffee und Expresso hinzu und er schmeckt wirklich sehr cremig.

Nachdem ich in letzter Zeit einige Rums aus Fiji probiert hatte, wollte ich diesen auch mal probieren. Die Erwartungen waren wegen der aktuellen Bewertung nicht so hoch. Muss aber sagen, dass er mich positiv überrascht hat. Angesichts, dass ich diesen im Sale erwerben konnte, finde ich ihn mehr als gut. Bin froh, dass beim Split etwas mehr übrig blieb.

Schöner Fiji. Sehr holzbetont aber auch mit viel frucht. Die Alkoholstärke ist ausgezeichnet gewählt. Weder zu stark noch schwach. Für den Preis gibt es allerdings wesentlich bessere von der south pacific destille

Definitely a very good rum! I wouldn't have guessed fiji blind because of the sherry finish. But overall a very nice, complex, harmonious rum!

Die Nachreifung im erstbefüllten Oloroso Sherryfass ergänzt diesen Fiji-Rum gekonnt mit einer köstlichen Rosinensüße und nussigen Aromen sowie einer feinen Eichenwürze, ohne ihn zur Unkenntlichkeit zu verfälschen. Die Ester sind dadurch zwar etwas ruhiger und nicht mehr so im Vordergrund, aber immer noch deutlich erkennbar. Gefällt mir richtig gut!

Das ist nicht mein Lieblings-Fiji. Ich vermisse Gummi und Plastik, dafür habe ich etwas zu viel Holz. Das Finish empfinde ich auch eher als störend und der Alkohol ist nicht gut eingebunden. Wäre enttäuscht wenn ich eine ganze Flasche gekauft hätte.

Ich habe mir im Vorfeld wenig versprochen von dieser Abfüllung und wurde doch positiv überrascht. Insgesamt relativ komplex und erinnert mich an einen Mix aus einem Chairman, Mhoba und TDL. Viele dreckige Noten mit ordentlich Karamell und dazu leicht verkohlt.

Delicious... a very successful Fiji ... with lots of fruit and esters on the nose, pleasant palate with fruit, light smoky wood, restrained spice and perfectly integrated alcohol. These flavors continue through the finish! Top!

Nase fruchtig säuerlich nach Zitusfrüchten. Aber auch Lack und Ester sind vertreten. Im Mund sehr anschmiegsam, fruchtig süß mit einer schönen süßen Würze im Abgang. Das Sherry finisch merkt man vor allem im Nachgeschmack. Schmeckt mir gut wenngleich die Mitte etwas „dünn“ ist.

טעימה לא הפיגי הכי חזק בשוק גם המחיר לא טוב מספיק. הרבה רשמים קצת לא נעימים אולי מגיע מהחבית. המארק עצמו כנראה גם לא מהפרופילים הפאנקים, החמוצין של פיגי. מתוק. קצת מסריח. עץ. דבש. מממש מעט אסטרים. לא משהו שהייתי קונה.
