Velier Albion AN 1983
Sip this one neat and slow — it's a 25-year Albion from Velier, and at 46.4% it drinks unusually soft for the age. Expect vanilla, cream toffee, roasted coconut and a salty edge, with green cardamom and warm spice underneath. Most tasters call it beautifully balanced; a couple note the low proof leaves the palate a touch thin. Rare and very hard to find.

Another of the nice rums in the tasting today. This is a great rum, maybe the proof should have been a tiny tad higher but all in all nice. A very expensive drop, which is very hard to get your hands on, but we'll worth every penny.

A liquid cream candy - on the nose extremely dominant caramel, vanilla and cream notes. On the palate, spicier hints are added, but unfortunately the dilution is also noticeable and takes the rum a little density. Nevertheless, an extremely drinkable and pleasing drop.
