This is a good, unaged Agricole. Alcohol is integrated ok. You get nice classic agricole notes. There is also a nutty note. Some citrus fruits. Almost unbeatable for the price.

La Route des Rhums Advent Calendar 2023 No. 11, here a Bielle Agricole with 58% ABV. Also a very citrusy Agricole, as always. Fresh on the nose, but I think you notice the alcohol too much, but all in all very good.

Solid white agricole with a great price per value rating. The alcohol fits perfectly.

On the nose: fresh gourmet cane, it is fruity-oily with a bouquet of vegetal notes. The attack in mouth is powerful, even a little rough, it is spicy-peppery. We find thereafter citrus fruits and liquorice typical of the distillery. The finish is pleasant on the peppery with a lemony note. Personally, I find it fruity-gourmand, it is rather nice. A powerful rum that will mellow in Ti-Punch ... Its budget: 30 €.

Brussels Rhum Festival 2024 Super fresh, floral and full of sugar cane on the nose. Spicy in the mouth with a nice sweetness. Very well-integrated alcohol with a good long finish that is slightly medicinal at first. All in all, nice natural sweetness. Great piece!

Great white rhum at a top PLV!

Had this in comparison with a different white Agricole, and found this to be more fresh, a bit sharper and stronger, and not as herbal. Also a bit better, but I like the profile of white Agricole in general.

The second clear rum tonight is already more pleasant than the previous one was.Nose: soft and sweetish, but also grassy and fresh. Green sugar cane I would say. Also has a lot of fermented honeydew melon. Spicy and earthy at the back. Quite pleasant. 77Palate: soft and sweet and grassy. Definitely sugar cane here again. A pleasant spicy-salty attack with a definite anise impact. Fruity in a way too, without me being able to name the fruit. Interesting and not bad at all. 77

The nose is first coating and sweet, then more agricultural with hay. The palate is welcoming and refreshing.

The nose is rocky and extremely mineral. We can also smell the 59° that awaits us with this ethanol that stings the nose. Then come fruitier scents: passion fruit, heady but delicate flowers. All this on a background of fresh, very fresh cane juice. On the palate, the burn of alcohol immediately coats the mouth. I'm not used to it. The fresh cane juice and the minerality are there again. This palate has character, but it takes me out of my comfort zone with my fruitier, sweeter white rums. Here, it's dry and reminds me of my grandfather's pear brandies. The finish is curiously woody and a little salty, as if I had an ocean-beaten shipwreck on my tongue (yes, I know I can be a poet). And the finish is long, very long, with its very present licorice notes. The complexity of flavors is extraordinary for a white rum, so much so that you wonder what you've just experienced. I'm unable to say whether I liked it or not, because it took me so far away from everything I know about West Indian white rums. Nevertheless, I don't regret this taste experience. Goes very well with passion fruit ti punch, minus the lime.

A Bielle monovarietal which uses the grey cane. A very floral and fresh scent emanates from the nose, with sugar cane and iodine confirming this first impression. More earthy and citrus notes complete this concentrated profile. The palate is as floral as ever, followed by notes of tropical fruit and a hint of salt and pepper to spice up the drink. Despite its 59%, the rum remains relatively smooth and creamy on the palate. The finish is long, expressive and greedy. A well-balanced white rum, which combines power and freshness, tradition and greediness with brio.

"It works very well and it really showcases itself. I've thoroughly enjoyed this with Lemonade and some ice. It has enough character to still cut through any mixer and give a nice "rhummy" hit. I don;'t think I have explored Rhum Bielle and Marie Galante enough. I'll certainly be putting..."Read full review →
