A1710 La Perle Fine 2021
Fresh-cut cane, olive brine and a floral, almost salty-marine edge — this is an unaged Martinique white built around raw sugarcane juice. Several tasters call the nose powerful and honeyed, the palate oily with citrus zest and a little ginger spice. At 67.5% the alcohol runs hot but reads well-integrated to most. One reviewer found it "un peu trop végétal" — too green for their taste.

La canne fraîche, végétal comme il faut, avec une légère note épicée (gingembre). Le nez est puissant, à l'intensité prononcée. En bouche, on garde la canne fraîche, un zeste d'agrume et les épices sont plus marqués. La puissance est toujours là, je trouve l'alcool bien intégré. Fin de bouche plutôt longue et simple. Très bon rhum 😉

Exceptional white rum, with big floral notes, to be drunk without adding anything, to be enjoyed sip by sip to soak up its high alcoholic content. This is the very essence of a white rum, with no additions or cheating.

Al naso maturati di frutta (melone, litchi, papaya)pungenti, agrumi e una nota aspra di aglio. Al palato rimane pungente, l'alcool non è integrato benissimo, e si sente ancora la nota aspra che non mi piace. Nel finale qualche agrume. Purtroppo non fa per me
