Most tasters enjoy the mix of grass, honey, sugarcane and a strong cognac influence, with one calling it a cross between good Calvados, cognac and agricole. But it's young and a few find the alcohol raw and unbalanced, bringing a lot of heat and sharpness to the palate.

Got this sample as a gift together with another bottle bought from Rhum Attitude by my son, for me. The nose is fresh, woody and fruity with aromas of grass, honey and raisins. At the palate and during the long finish it’s intense, woody, spicy, fruity and vegetal with flavors of pepper, honey, raisins, madeira and cognac.

It's like letting really good Calvados, Cognac and Rhum Agricole make a baby. Very tasty and harmonious and really fun! Unusual notes of green bell pepper, peanut butter, celery and green apple, a little sulphur and honey and significantly more wood influence. For me personally, there is a little too much cognac influence, a few months in Madeira barrels would have been good...

Thanks to Pedro Ferreira, who gave my in-laws some rum samples :-) A three-year-old rum in a cognac cask. Not quite as special as the 9-month-old, but still quite good and complex. Roasted aromas and young wood are more present here. Vegetable notes, fruit, sugar cane and spices are present throughout!

A bit too unbalanced for me, even if the profile is basically appealing measured by the young age. Unfortunately, the alcohol is not quite roundly integrated and brings too much sharpness into play on the palate. The three-year-old rum from the Madeira barrel with only 45% comes not only aromatically more exciting, but also clearly rounder and more balanced.

Junger, kantiger Rum mit deutlich spürbarem Alkohol. In der Nase florale Noten, etwas Gras und ein Hauch Honig. Am Gaumen lebhaft, aber unausgewogen, die Jugend ist klar erkennbar. Trotz spannender Grundaromen fehlt es an Ruhe und Integration, wodurch er eher roh als charakterstark wirkt.
