Opinions land in a familiar spot here: a well-made but very classic Foursquare. Expect vanilla, oak, coconut and toffee from the ex-bourbon aging, with a faint glue note and some minerality creeping in. #5258 18.04.2025 Enjoying some samples at home while listening to some nice Trance Tracks. Nose Round, light wood, light roasted, light vegetal, faint mint, dried fruit, light prunes. Palate Fresh, round, fruits, light orange, faint mint, light prunes, light pineapple, spice, light vegetal. Finish Long and warm, round, fresh, light oily, spice, light wood, raisin, light chocolate. Empty glass Light honey, chocolate, vanilla, dried fruits, light caramel.

Compared to the newer vintages, the rum becomes a bit more closed, a fine glue note is added to the profile, paired with some minerality. However, major surprises remain absent, it remains a classic Foursquare.

.. Foursquare je destilerka z Barbadosu produkujici uzasne rumy ke kazdodennimu popijeni. Je to rum, ktery oceni zejmena rumari, kteri maji plne zuby cukru a hledaji jemny, nasladly rum plny kokosu, vanilky, cokolady a karamelu. Proste prijemne a nijak agresivni chute.

Very good Rum from Foursquare. Price per value is OK. You will notice the 60%+ for sure! Nose: Classic Barbardos. Tropical fruits, vanilla, oak, marzipan, coco, banana, Honey. On the palate: Roasted, Vanilla, Marzipan. The finish is medium long with an astringend feeling with notes of oak, vanilla.

⚠️ Catégorie Décevants Foursquare 2007 – 61.6% Vieilli 11 ans en ex-bourbon sous les tropiques, puis 2 ans en fût de whisky de malt anglais… et c’est là que ça se gâte. Heureusement, le finish reste discret, on retrouve un peu de noix de coco, mais l’ensemble demeure plat et fermé, sans vraie émotion.

Seriously, all this foursquare are more or less the same, and this is an tremendous achievement. Rarely a fallout to below the 70 points. Bourbon cask leaves vanilla and spices, some coconut, and overall a bit boring but reliable profile, even with these ib's
