Antoniazzi Jamaica Rum 1950s
Artificial strawberry and bubble gum leap out of the glass, backed by a cool menthol note several tasters compared to After Eight mints. This 1950s Jamaican bottling tastes nothing like modern Jamaica — a few reviewers pick up Savanna-style funk, others get old wood, ash and tar underneath the candy. Almost everyone calls it fascinating; not everyone calls it good. One taster shrugged: interesting, but couldn't decide if he liked it.

How does Antoniazzi Jamaica Rum 1950s taste?
Aggregated from 14 community reviews.
Weird strawberry-menthol vintage Jamaican oddity A genuine oddity that splits the room — some find the strawberry-menthol candy weirdly great, others can't get past the synthetic edge. Nobody drinks it as ordinary rum.

A rum from the "Niki's und Arturs Jamaiksnische Aventurien Teil 2" series. A Savanna nose with artificial strawberry and bubble gum. But also a touch of plastic. Bubble gum and artificial strawberry dominate, but there's also a hint of old wood and ashes. There's also a tea and herbaceous side, reminiscent of an agricole. A surprising and almost very good rum, if it weren't for the plastic, dust and synthetic aromas.

22.09.1989 Café Baxx, Kolding which is no more. Notes Fresh, light, light wood, faint smoke, medicinal, apple, floral. Palate Fresh, light wood, floral, light chocolate, fruity, citrus, light nutts, medium dry. Finish medium long, medium dry, light wood, orange, light chocolate. 4.0 stars of 5.0 which should amount to 8.0 on today's rating. Extra note Surprising good quality for a low price, 20 DKK for 2 cl.

This one is crazy stuff. Strong artificial strawberry notes on the nose and the palate as well. This is destinctly outstanding from current Jamaican rums.

Nikis und Arturs Jamaikanische Aventurien Teil 2: sehr spannend! Leicht künstliche Aromen, aber viel Geschmack. Menthol, Kaffee, Erdbeere, Vanille, Tee. Krasse Mischung!

The most interesting rum of the rarity tasting. Menthol, strawberry, BumBum ice cream, artificial aromas on the nose. Most likely to be classified as Savanna. Then a different direction on the palate. Heavy wood, ashtray, tar, camomile tea. A very interesting bottling, but one that leaves you undecided as to what you've actually drunk.

Sehr schöne Mentholnote in der Nase. Erinnert sehr an After Eight ohne die Schokolade. Also dann wirklich After Eight.

Quite a confusing profile, bursting with chewing gum and artificial strawberry flavors. Spearmint, strawberry, some storage...no idea how such a product is created (and why), but it's very special.
