Overripe pineapple, esters and glue on the nose, then a rounder side of toffee, tobacco and dried fruit once it opens. Members keep calling this a top-tier Long Pond — 16 years of tropical aging gives it real body, and at 65% the alcohol sits surprisingly well. One taster caught brioche and honey; another loved the "long and complex" finish that turns woody before circling back to fruit.

8,9:On the nose, esters and glue, roasted wood notes like cocoa, brioche, spicy with vanilla and nutmeg, overripe tropical fruits like pineapple,cthen dried fruits, herbal molasses, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, the molasses is grassy, earthy with tobacco, sweet with honey, roasted nuts and toffee arise, some banana. 9,1:On the palate, the attack is tasty with overripe tropical fruits like passion fruit, mango, pineapple, some apricots and juicy orange, roasted wood notes like butterscotch, various confectionery with pastry, yeast, fruitcake, spicy with baking spices, we have medicinal notes like esters, funky, as the molasses is grassy with hay, earthy, mineral.On oxidation papaya and licorice arise.... 8,8:The finish is long, dry&tannic, slightly metallic, as the roasted wood notes pair fermented tropical, citrus fruits and earthy, slightly minty and fresh, grassy molasses... Velier really knows how to pick them. Another great release that is well balanced and great ABV integration. Fruity and funky with a nice mix of ester and wood. At release the price was really good and it has already gone up quite a bit since then. Delicious 😊

Last but not least, guter Abschluss, ein hervorragender Long Pond. Getrocknete Früchte, Ester und Ananas in der Nase, am Gaumen überreife Früchte (Mango, Aprikose und Ananas). Außerdem wieder Ester sowie leicht holzig.

A lively, vigorous nose of overripe pineapple, esters and glue. Vigorous but not aggressive, balanced and delicious. Keep it in the glass for a long time to allow its other aromas to express themselves. Vegetal and a kind of honey with a thousand flowers. The palate is lively, but almost immediately the round, savory side of this rum moderates this liveliness. The palate becomes more complex, with aromas of toffee, fresh tobacco, apricot and overripe pineapple. The finish is long, complex and elegant. The wood is more pronounced, and sweetness and overripe fruit dominate. The aromatic complexity lingers for a long time.

Being a fan of the Mark STCE with an ester level that is neither too high nor too low (in my opinion), this is one of the best long ponds I have tasted. A perfectly integrated alcohol and a great length. A must taste !

Sehr sehr geiler Jamaicaner. Viel Ester und Ananas, zusammen mit Noten von Holz, Tabak und getrockneten Früchten. Diese Kombination macht von Anfang bis Ende richtig Spaß; Alkohol ist wirklich exzellent eingebunden.

Très beau Long Pond, des esters, du fruit, un profil vraiment riche, juste un peu déçu par la finale un peu légère par rapport au reste, mais c’est vraiment un très beau produit!

Zapach: łagodne estry, grillowane ananasy, brzoskwinie w syropie, karpatka, karmel i krem waniliowy Smak: estrowy, ściągający, cierpki, brzoskwiniowo - morelowy, ananas, pomarańcza, cukier wanilinowy Finisz: długi, lekko pikantny, pieczony, trochę estrowy, mniej owoców niż w smaku i zapachu Jest bardzo okrągło (65% OO) a mimo to ma dużego pazura. Ma sporo estrów ale nie zabijają tylko podbijają inne smaki. Kompleksowy, zapach i smak idą w jeden linii ale finisz mocno skręca w zupełnie innym kierunku- bardziej drzewnym, by na koniec wrócić w stronę owoców. Moja ulubiona destylarnia rumu, a jeśli chodzi o butelkę to nie zawiodłem się, jest na bardzo wysokim poziomie.
