Fifteen years in oak, yet the wood barely shows — that's the surprise here. What you get instead is coconut, caramel and juicy vanilla with a light Panama sweetness. One taster caught "coconut lip balm" on the nose. The entry runs sharper and peppier than the soft nose promises, then chocolate and oak settle in by the third sip.

All the barrel notes you’d expect with a 15 year rum, but not over oaked by any means. Juicy vanilla, caramel and spice. Quite nice!

Especially after some time in the glass, I like the smell very much. Unfortunately, the taste can not quite keep what the nose promises. At the onset quite sharp and peppery, with a moderate sweetness. Not unpleasant, but I would have expected it to be softer. The warm notes of oak and chocolate do come through after the third sip and in the medium-length finish. At
