Habitation Velier Hampden White LROK 2018
Sipped neat or built into a punchy daiquiri, this unaged Hampden hits with overripe banana, pineapple and mango wrapped in nail polish, glue and burning rubber. One taster called it "a bit of a tire fire" and meant it as a compliment. Chocolate and a light smoky note surprise on the palate. At 62.5% the heat is real but reviewers found it well-tied for something this young.

The nosing reveals oranges , pecans ,cherry's chocolates and apples . The taste is quite dry with the hit of more nuts maybe a macadamia nut , the moves into a delicate dunder and with a finish of olive oil ... This is an incredible pot still ...62.5% boom 🤯

First venture into Velier, “high ester” world and was very happy. Bought this for my wedding and have enjoyed it multiple times since. One of my favorites.

Very good, but I think the whites of the higher marks are better.

So tasty and funky. I could smell it all day except that the palate is so good. A little bit of a tire fire, but dang do I love it. The tropical fruits surrounding the melting plastic really solidify it for me as an amazing bottle.

The nose is full of fruits with banana, overripe mango and sour currants. Earthy sugarcane provides some sweetness. Subtle wood and citrus notes from juniper evolve into spicy ginger, and end in fresh grass. Red fruit bubblegum on the palate quickly turning earthy and fresh with rhubarb and more sugarcane. Lightly woody juniper, but the ginger is replaced by harsher peppers. The entirety is quite roasted and smoky like crispy, dry bacon. Finish is again very immediate and light. Red fruits and flowery, with lots of eucalyptus. The experience is eclectic. The nose and taste are quite different. Very interesting. Smell the glass extensively, take a couple of sips and smell again. Be amazed at how it evolved to something completely different.

Thinking about the price tag you get a lot for your money. Fresh and fruity with nice workshop notes in the back. I like the very light smoky note hidden in the profile.
