The Nectar C.A.C.D The Nectar Of The Daily Drams 2005
People who like a Spanish-style rum but want it undiluted will find a lot to enjoy here. It's a naturally sweet Venezuela column-still with vanilla, cocoa and dark chocolate up front, then tobacco and a light smoke that comes from the cask-strength bottling. A few tasters needed time to warm to it; a drop of water opens it up. One member even mistook it blind for a Foursquare or Guyana column rum.

- Vanilla and cocoa

Blenders Glass. The nose is very similar to a Pedro Jimenez aged single malt.Caramel, chocolate, wood, the alcohol is well integrated and not overpowering. On the palate, it is immediately clear that this is a rum on cask. Powerful, dry, tart. Woody, dried fruit, spice. The finish is long, dry, pleasant, woody, fruity and spicy.3322'90

The special thing about this rum that I like is the long and very slow fading finish. It just sticks to your palate for a very long time. Only lightly frimuity but with smoke, tobacco and vanille in a nice well balanced mix for your senses.

I have honestly needed a bit to make friends with this rum - but in the meantime we understand each other quite well.At first you have a nice "sweet" (so not the donpapasüß 😅) Spaniards in the mouth. Then unfold but on the palate so really nice tropical-floral aromas pulse some tobacco and with a few drops of water it opens even more.In the finish tasty but rather medium length and the alcohol can still nen tick better integrate.

Blind, this could also be a good Foursquare or Column Still Guyana Rum.
