CDI Ten Cane Trinidad (Bottled for Denmark) 2012
Glue and solvent hit first, then it settles into yellow fruit — peach, apricot — with berries, clove and a woody, tobacco backbone. This 2012 Ten Cane pot-still from Trinidad throws people off blind (guesses ran from agricole to Guyana PM). Give it 15-20 minutes to open. Splits the room: lovely once it breathes, but the 56.3% can read hot and the finish runs short.

This release bottled for Denmark arrived yesterday and I gave it a run for its money yesterday after work. The nose is lovely and only gets better after 15 - 20 minutes. Fruity and spices from nose to finish. The nose only has a little alcohol to it and the palate is only mildly dry. Lovely rum unfortunately very limited amount of bottles.

5.Tag Rum X Adventskalender Getippt auf Guyana... Mein 1. TenCane überhaupt

N: first let set the alcohol lets only glue through. After a few minutes berries come through, and ne light sweetness accompanied by something spicy - cinnamon. On the palate then initially a nice fruit basket come afterwards but rather spicy notes. Clove dominates somewhat. Makes the whole something more floral. Had blindly guessed Agricole, is not far away in taste. Finish intensely complex and at the same time light. Great rum for in between

After the Plantation Belize this one was very different, and shows that sometimes you need a different Rum before to taste the difference. This one is full of herbs and an earthy note, that could be tobacco, but as I am a non smoker I do not know. Nice and interesting. The Alcohol is very well integrated, I had no burn here.

RumX Adventskalender 5.

RumX-Kalender Nr. 5 Ein sehr verhaltener Ten Cane!

RumX Advents Kalender 5.12.22 Mega schwierige Geschichte.

Sehr kurzer Abgang, was Minuspunkte gibt…
Review by TheRhumhoe

Enjoyable in general. For me it loses on the finish, however. Rather short and alcoholic sharp unfortunately.

#5th dec RumXCalendar Blind tasting: Nose: fruity, alcoholic, peaches, yellow fruits, woody Palate: alcoholic, , fruity, grape fruit, raisins, roasted, spicy The finish is medium long, woody, dried fruits Not one of my favorite rums. My Prediction: Port Mourant 🤔 Approx. 45-50% Approx. 5 years of aging
