Review by Kevin Sorensen 🇩🇰
#4034 Plantation is usually equal to added sugar and so is this rum. Sweet and spicy on the palate as well as some varnish and rubber notes. Not to bad and you get what you pay for.
Review by Vincent D
The nose is very catchy: whisky, woody, sweet, very ripe fruit, dark banana. You can tell it's going to be rich. First sip after 40 minutes of aeration: the alcohol is initially very (too?) present and takes up the whole mouth. Once attenuated, the sugar explodes in the mouth and releases a multitude of things. It's hard for me to identify them all: still very ripe fruit, dried berries, whisky, cognac, etc. Slight bitterness on the finish. The rum doesn't evolve much over time. I just noticed a hint of acidity not initially perceived. A fine discovery. A rum with a new profile for me. Not my favorite, but interesting from time to time. Edit 04/02/22: Not a bad rum at all. Great aroma, quite typical.
