Heimat Distillers Heimat Distillers Ramero Rum Cask Selection
Sipped neat it reads young and thin, but people find its footing in a cola or a daiquiri, where the chocolate and roasted spice pop. This is a German-aged Guyana rum: dark chocolate, roasted nuts and light smoke on the nose, then whisky-cask spice and green-wood on the palate. Several tasters liked the nose more than the mouth — the chocolate "saufen leider etwas ab" (fades) and the finish drops off fast.

- Good in a daiquiri

#4567 21.01.2024 Having a go at a few more samples. A surprisingly good rum but I'd probably use it in a cola because it's just too light in the profile. Trying to add a it more specific notes. Nose Light, wood, light smoke, berries, caramel, leather, anise. Palate Light, wood, light smoke, sweet, round, dried fruit, chocolate. Finish Short, light, wood, chocolate, raisin, sweet, light coffee.
