HSE chêne américain 2007
People who've tried this land in the same place: a well-balanced, subtly complex agricole where the American oak sits front and center without taking over. Expect chocolate on the nose, candied and dried fruit that keeps building in the glass, and a creamy, oily palate with cinnamon and a light licorice note. One taster even compared it to Foursquare. Only real gripe: the alcohol pokes through in the finish.

Superbe rhum d'HSE. 🥰

A very atypical agricole, complex in aroma and taste, a bit reminiscent of Foursquare.

Another very nice release from this distillery. Nice and fruity with a bunch of spices and chocolate. The palate is fresh, oily and warm and it draws really nice curtains. The empty glass is even better and has a light licorice note.
Review by Mopar Rules
a well balanced, smooth and subtly complex rum. There is chocolate on the nose and candied fruits, the cask is quite present, but not dominant. On the palate, round, balanced, a taste of chocolate. The longer the rum stays in the glas, the more dried and candied fruits makes their way through the surface. The cask makes it all the way to the finish. The alcohol is always slightly present but a bit too dominant in the finish. Compared to the Montebello I recently tried it keeps the promise

Rather on the nutty side. I like it well!
