Un très joli Bielle de 2009 qui donne une belle impression au nez. On retrouve une belle part fruitée avec les fruits exotiques, les agrumes, la pêche et l’abricot. Les notes florales sont ravissantes et d’une grande fraîcheur sur la violette, la camomille et les herbes aromatiques tirant sur le thé noir. Les notes épicées et boisées sont également de la partie. Un profil parfumé, rond et très agréable. L’attaque en bouche propose de multiples facettes : tantôt fruitée, tantôt épicée, tantôt florale, la palette aromatique est large et bien étalée sur la longueur. C’est bien amené et l’alcool est bien intégré, les 49,4% ont un minimum de vivacité tout de même. Toutefois, la finale est en deçà des attentes, mince, volatile et éparse, sans être trop expressive. Elle est légèrement amère sur l’herbe, l’espresso et le cacao. On retrouve un boisé succinct et des épices légères en fin de bouche. Les petites notes mentholées et de thé sur la fin sont fraîches et agréables. Si la finale paraît décevante, les saveurs au nez et en bouche sont plus marquantes, on ressent plus d’impact, de vivacité et de complexité dans ce profil que dans le Bielle 2011, plus rond et gourmand.

Rasta und Bielle, eine gute Kombi und entsprechende Erwartungen… Fruchtig, Lebkuchen und ein Hauch Lakritze. Jugentlich, fragile Aromen, kräftig und trotzdem interessant und gut. Im Mund etwas alkoholisch, reichlich Zitrus. Abgang mit Pfeffer, Zitrus und Wärme. Interessant, kommt aber bei weitem nicht an RX2979 und RX7116 heran

After resting for 15 minutes this rum releases all of its wonderful flavours. Very fresh and grassy with fruit and vanilla. The finish is long and very well balanced. Unfortunately only released in a very limited amount of bottles.

The nose makes really a lot of fun and desire for more. Taste-wise, it is then a bit too thin for me and not quite as intense and fruity as I had hoped. Nevertheless, a very tasty bielle!

Bert (Asta Morris) is very good at selecting his Bielles and he proved it again with this 10 yo. You have multiple layers, the one with that citrus touch akin to the distillery profile (really stewed here), but also tobacco and incense that make this one a winner for its complexity (not mentioning spices, coffee beans, vanilla, a hint of coco and the vegetal side). Makes you wonder what was the Bourbon in the cask before!
