Damoiseau VSOP
One taster called it a "honey-sweet agricole" that turns surprisingly complex after a soft, fruity start — and that split is the whole story. Expect grassy sugarcane, citrus, vanilla and a good hit of cinnamon spice, with a mild, round body from this Guadeloupe column-still cane-juice rum. Several found the palate a touch spicy and ordinary next to that gorgeous nose.

This is definitely not a mixer and I'd be sad to see people mixing with this very nice rum. A very delicious rum that's dry in the beginning but the explodes with a lot of flavours. A great Agricole that I think connoisseurs would love. Price to quality is very good.

Not bad at all. In the nose the fruitiness dominates. At the palate it’s fruity, woody, spicy, round and a little vegetal and sweet with flavors of oak. During the medium long finish the flavors is persistent.

Tolle fruchtig-vanillige Nase die nach etwas Zeit Ähnlichkeit zu einem Speyside Whisky hat. Auch im Mund eine Mischung aus Scotch und Agricole, daher für jemanden der aus dem Whisky kommt wahrscheinlich ganz gut, meins ist das Profil nicht ganz.

Kann auch gut pur getrunken werden. War mein erster Ti Punch mit einem braunen Rhum, geht gut aber für einen Ti Punch würde ich nicht weiter als VSOP gehen, da sonst das Holz zu dominant wird.

Nez très aguicheur, riche, fruité et pâtissier, vanille caramel Très doux et gras en bouche c'est un bon rhum pour débuter la soirée il passe très bien il est assez gourmand tout en gardant l'authenticité de l'agricole, il y a un goût de cigare et de miel en bouche qui le distingue vraiment des autres Pas très boisé ni très long en bouche mais plutôt sur des arômes sucrés

Rhum surprenant. Il a toutes les caractéristiques d'un agricole mais les arômes fruités et sa rondeur contrastent avec son nez et sa finale fumé et épicé. Il manque un poil de caractère pour un VSOP mais il contentera la plupart des gens.

Das erste Mal als ich den probiert habe war ich gar nicht begeistert, da mich die grasigen Agricole Noten doch ziemlich gestört haben. Jetzt mit mehr Erfahrung und "feinerer Palette" in der Nase vorrangig Honig, bevor er geatmet hat aber auch recht alkoholisch. Im Geschmack erst Honig - süß, dann wechselnd zu Zuckerrohr, frisch - holzig und leicht grasig. Recht langer, warmer Abgang. Agricole wird sicher nicht mein Hauptstil, aber ich weiß die Abwechslung zu schätzen. Drinks: - Pur: 3.5/5 - Rum Mule: 3/5

Loin d être fan des vieux Damoiseau j ai trouvé ce VSOP surprenant une attaque franche et agréable une présence de boisé et de fruité très équilibré avec l alcool. Une longueur en bouche plus que convenable laissant apprécié à nouveau le boisé

Seidenweiche Textur auf der Zunge. Interessante Gewürznoten. Für ein Cocktail aus Zimt, Muskat, Kardamom und Tonkabohne. Hatte ich bisher nur bei Amburana-Wood Lagerung die dieser hier vermutlich eher nicht hatte. Komplett anders als erwartet wenn man vorher Martinique im Glas hatte. Ziemlich strange aber nicht schlecht wenn man sich etwas daran gewöhnt hat. Auf jeden Fall nicht beliebig.

Un rum molto fruttato e piacevole al naso, molto più ordinario al palato. Resta comunque una buona bevuta, abbastanza semplice ma piuttosto piacevole. Peccato per la speziatura un po' eccessiva al palato, poco coerente con la morbidezza al naso

In der Nase Malz, Getreide, Rauch und etwas medizinisches. Im Glas ein wässriges helles strohgelb. Auf der Zunge leicht ölig, etwas medizinisch mit einer leichten Schärfe, Aprikose, Eukalyptus und einer angenehmen Honignote. Im Abgang wieder etwas Schärfe und Süße, sowie wohlschmeckende Aprikose, Mandarine und Pfirsich.
