CDI Clarendon Jamaica 2013
Sipped neat, this drinks fruity and technical: ripe grape, melon and papaya up front, then a big wave of mint and menthol, spice and light cedar wood. Several tasters get a baked-apple, pastry side that's unusual for a Jamaican. At 59.4% the alcohol sits surprisingly well integrated. A rounded Clarendon that mostly skips the flambéed-banana marker some Jamaica lovers avoid.

Aggregated from 33 community reviews.
Fruity, minty cask-strength Clarendon Jamaican Well-liked as a rounded, technical Clarendon — fruit, spice and heavy menthol. A few find the mint and pepper a touch dominant; one taster prefers it in a mix.

A surprising nose of varnish and banana with a hint of menthol. The menthol is repeated on the palate with vanilla and spices. Like baked apples. Medium length, with spices and more menthol and a taste of mouthwash. Nice overall balance, quite opposite flavors but nevertheless coherent. I like it. Tasted again and I confirm, a very fine rum.

Very spicy, almost like an Allspice Dram. Nice rum for the colder days.

Very entertaining and complex. Heavy body, spices end fruits . Very nice kiking and round clarendon.

In the nose first surprisingly fruity and filigree of grape, honeydew melon, mirabelle and papaya, then comes baking spice and mint with menthol, as well as some cedar wood.

The nose is pleasantly soft, sweet and fruity, the palate with light wood, fruit and vanilla... all very restrained, alcohol very well integrated to the finish comes surprisingly a grassy herbal note! A well made intereRum
