Also ich kann nur sagen, dass ich ihn grundsolide finde. Kann das in der Nase Hirschhornsalz, also ein Weihnachtsgewürz, gewesen sein? Am Gaumen finde ich ihn zwar kräftig, aber nicht zu alkoholisch. Mir schmeckt er, guter Daily Sipper.

Ein junger wilder. Man könnte den auch als Irischen Pot Still Whisky unters Volk bringen, mit Rumfasslagerung. Praktisch ein Redbreast 12 cask strength aus dem Rumfass. Leider relativ wenig Ester, trotzdem angenehm und lecker. Gutes PLV.

After resting this rum for 15 minutes it was ready. The barrel and fruits are there from nose to finish with some nice spiciness. This one is a lot younger than the others I have tried from this bottler and it is obvious in the taste. Still a good rum and price to quality is very good.

Gives itself in the nose first closed with glue, on the palate a lot of spice and young wood, it leads into a caramel finish with almonds. A solid rum but does not quite pick me up

auf dem Level des The Rum Cask MPM 2008 mit den auch dort vorhandenen Noten von Apfel und Gewürzen. Insgesamt aber nicht sonderlich komplex. Auch ein eher kurzer Abgang. Das MPM Marque bleibt für mich eines der schwächeren.

Er hat mich nicht wirklich überzeugt, leichte würzige und fruchtige Noten.. die aber nicht wirklich hervortreten! Der Alkohol ist deutlich spürbar

In der Nase doch recht angenehm mit einer schönen Süße, am Gaumen dann sehr alkoholisch mit viel Würze von Anfang bis Ende, für mich ein wenig zu viel. Der Abgang ist geprägt durch Holz, Bitterkeit und Schärfe.

So I tried a Demerara Rum for a chance, after Agricoles, Jamaicans and the odd Spanish style. The nose is very promising, lots of wood and a nice note of burned Caramel, even some Funk, however the palate and especially the finish really disappointed. It starts nice, sweet and you get lots of notes, but the finish is just hot and full of alcohol burn (at least to me). This is one of the rums with the worst alcohol integration I have had until now - it was painful to the tip of my tongue. Adding water did not help much.
