The nose is nice, it’s easy to drink and a rather short finish goes the same way as at the palate. It’s very unclear where this rum is distilled, cause they don’t have any stills at the Hacienda Coloma so they are probably just aging, blending and bottling it. In the end of the aging they finish it in former Coloma Coffee Liqueur barrels.

This is also a quite okay 40% average rum. Actually, the nose and palate are almost all coffee. I can still taste a slight hint of caramel. It's also relatively sweet, but still within reason.

Longtemps que je n'avais pas goûté de Coloma. J'ai trouvé ce huit ans assez agréable. Sucré, caramélisé et sur le café. C'est très prononcé. Mais un boisé quelque peu acide amène de l'intérêt à cette bouteille. Plutôt agréable.

I really like this rum to finish a meal, or to accompany a sweet dessert. It is very round and sweet. It's also good to have it simple, not expensive. Doesn't fart higher than his ass. And the box/bottle is beautiful, nice as a decoration in the living room.

Incredibly smooth. Sweet, but not sickly. Little to no burn. Pleasant nose that translates well to the taste. Heavy on vanilla/sugar, so a bit one-note, but very enjoyable.

"This is seriously, a very boring, flat, uninspired spirit. I didn't expect this to be quite as boring as this. I was hoping it might be a bit more like La Hechicera than Dictador .
