Aroma visualization from community tastings
Diamond Kill Devil Guyana 2003
Oily and spirit-forward, with wood, plum and prunes over a faint smoke and a peppery, almost numbing bite that some found distracting. At nearly 60% the alcohol pushes hard, and a couple of members thought it drank young for a 16-year Diamond pot still. The finish runs long and oily, ending on vanilla ice cream. One taster called it the pick of a three-rum lineup.

How does Diamond Kill Devil Guyana 2003 taste?
Aggregated from 24 community reviews.
Oily, peppery Diamond pot still with real heat Most enjoyed it — long, oily and spice-driven — but the heat and a slightly young, fusel-oil edge kept a few from fully warming to it.

Total rip-off when it comes to sippers. Very young, tastes of fusel oil, like an unaged whiskey. Very straw color, but in fact it's almost like it's not aged at all. A taste like this I expect from expressions less than 3 years old. For a 16-year-old rum, even if it is continental (no specificity in that respect), the quality for the price is just inexcusable. Shameful cash grab from Hunter Laing. Makes a very pleasant daiquiri all the same, but holy shit, you can find rums for daiquiris much cheaper than this. To be avoided.

O vůni se toho moc nedá napsat. Hezky ale neurčitě ovocná s technickými tóny. Chuťově se to nese v podobném duchu. Příjemná ovocnost, vanilka a z technických prvků asi tuha. V závěru výrazná vanilková zmrzlina.

Tasted in sample. I liked it but was not thrilled with it. On the nose the aroma is very fresh, lemon and mint. This is also the case on the palate and the alcohol boost comes through in both cases. Medium-length finish with slight hint of pepper.

2003 (16 ans) : épicé voir corsé ! Porté par le clou de girofle, le raisin sec et le sucre roux. Belle longueur, c'est mon préféré du trio

Very long on the palate. I didn't really like it because it had an anaesthetic quality in the mouth which disturbed me a little.
