Diamond Kill Devil Guyana 2003
Oily wood, plum and a peppery clove bite lead here, with prunes, brown sugar and a faint smoke on the long finish. One taster found it fresh and lemony, another called out an almost numbing, fusel-oil edge and a paler colour than 16 years suggests. At 59.9% cask strength it runs hot, so a drop of water or a daiquiri tames it.

How does Diamond Kill Devil Guyana 2003 taste?
Aggregated from 24 community reviews.
Peppery, oily Guyana pot still at cask strength Split verdict: some love the spicy, clove-and-raisin length, others feel a young, anesthetizing fusel note undercuts the age. Works well in a daiquiri, hot when sipped neat.

2003 (16 years old): spicy, even full-bodied! Carried by clove, raisin and brown sugar. Nice length, it's my favorite of the trio

Très belle longueur en bouche. Je l'ai pas super apprécié car il a un côté anesthésiant en bouche qui me perturbé un peu.

Total rip-off when it comes to sippers. Very young, tastes of fusel oil, like an unaged whiskey. Very straw color, but in fact it's almost like it's not aged at all. A taste like this I expect from expressions less than 3 years old. For a 16-year-old rum, even if it is continental (no specificity in that respect), the quality for the price is just inexcusable. Shameful cash grab from Hunter Laing. Makes a very pleasant daiquiri all the same, but holy shit, you can find rums for daiquiris much cheaper than this. To be avoided.
