Romdeluxe DDL Wild Series Rum Enmore No. 15 MEC 1988
Broad agreement here: this is a heavy, wood-driven Enmore that scores in the low 9s across the board, with only mild debate over whether the 1992 MECs edge it out. Expect dried figs and prunes, leather, oak and burnt caramel, plus that faint iodine-and-ash note the wooden Coffey still is known for. Long finish, and the 33 years show clearly.

#5020 31.12.2024 Relaxing watching TV while waiting for 2025. Nose Wood, light roasted, plum caramel, dried fruit, light floral, faint mint, faint cinnamon. Palate Oily, balanced, round, wood, light roasted, light iodine, faint tea, faint floral, spice, light caramel, prunes. Finish Long, wood, dried fruit, faint chocolate, faint tea, spice, light caramel. The empty glass has pencil shawings, light apple, faint honey and some light grass notes.

... Enmore - drive distiller, now just a functional distillation device. Apparently the only wooden still in the world which is very popular. The Enmore rums have a flavour of ash, leather, heavy wood, which will delight especially the lovers of whiskey. And if in the traditional Guyanese way the producer adds a little molasses to the rum, you have a unique very distinctive and heavy rum in the bottle. One of my favourites.

One of my favorite rums I've tasted. I feared the long time in wood would do something to the taste, but it didn't; amazing taste! You can really feel this is a 33 year old rum. Rounded taste of burnt caramel, dried fruits and wood

08-11-2025 - Rate 9.5 Tasted this one long time ago. Very nice revisit. Tasted it alongside CDI 27 Enmore and Belllamy’s Enmore 1991. This one was my favorit. Bellamy’s and this one are close but RDL took 1 st. price tonight. Nose with dried figs and dades. Wood, leather and oak. Palate follows close to the nose. With a nice woody flavor. Long finish dominated by figs, leather and wood

Really good MEC! Without direct comparison, however, I would prefer the 92 MECs.

Peu d'amertume.

Very enjoyable! Wood and spice coming through nice and clearly.

Vo vôni pečene alebo varene jablko dosť vyrazne. Jemna sladkosť s vôňou sušenych sliviek. Chuť prijemna hladka alkohol krasne integrivany. Sud nie je až taky výrazny skôr tu u mňa prevlada chuť sušeného ovocia a zaver by som opisal na taky stredny. Ale vynikajuci enmore
