18.02.2023 Relaxing at home with some samples. Colour Medium to dark in colour. Nose Fresh, light wood, faint smoke, spice, light polish, faint caramel, spice. Palate Round, light wood, spice, light anise, faint coconut, dried fruit, lightly sweet, faint nutts. Finish Medium long, round, light wood, faint roasted, fruits, faint coconut, light caramel, light anise.

Extremely gourmand nose with lots of tropical fruit mixed with caramel and vanilla, enhanced by a few solvents, shoe polish and a nice woody/grilled note. The palate is warm, and we leave with the same actors as on the nose. Passion fruit, pineapple, caramel, vanilla, waxed wood, spices. Long finish on passion fruit and spices.

On the nose, caramelized brown sugar, glue and chocolate, with a pronounced woodiness. Relatively fat on the palate. The same notes are still present, with woodiness and a hint of bitterness on the finish. The alcohol is very well integrated. The only downside is a slightly short finish. A fine selection, a change from the usual rums.

First nose after opening long a very pleasant salted butter caramel. And light Esther. On the palate, a pleasant hint of acidity reminiscent of bitter orange. The hint of acidity lingers on the finish and the 62% is finally very well assimilated.
