    Adored by Long Pond fans as a balanced, mature take on high-ester funk — glue, tropical fruit and oak in harmony. A few find the wood or bitterness slightly heavy; nobody questions the quality.

  2. Best for: Foursquare fans who like a port-driven, dried-fruit twist

    Widely rated one of the best Velier Foursquares, loved for its port-driven dried fruit, chocolate and silky integration of a big ABV. Detractors call it too sweet or say the port dominates.

  3. Best for: Fans of high-ester Jamaican funk and tropical fruit bombs

    Loved by Hampden fans for its pineapple-banana-glue funk and long finish. The recurring gripe: at 68.5% the alcohol reads a touch hot and slightly bitter for some.

  4. Best for: Foursquare fans wanting a darker, fruitier ECS to sip neat

    Many call it the best ECS in years — the Black Muscat cask adds real dark-fruit depth. A handful find it a touch too sweet or the alcohol slightly hot when young.

  5. Best for: Demerara lovers who want a heavy, chocolatey cask-strength sipper

    One of the most loved Demeraras here — deep chocolate, caramel and wood with the ABV beautifully tucked away. The only recurring gripe: a finish some wish ran longer, and a hint of bitterness.

  6. Best for: Fans of high-ester Jamaican funk

    A loved wild-and-funky NY 2009: fruity, glue-heavy, marzipan finish, with alcohol integrated well for the strength. The catch is a salty, astringent bitterness some find edgy and unharmonious.

  7. Best for: Fans of aged, high-ester Jamaican Clarendon

    A beloved cask-strength Clarendon most call their '95 reference. The catch: give it long rest and maybe water, or the high alcohol flattens the fruit and turns it hot and astringent.

  8. Best for: Demerara fans who want an affordable window into Enmore's wooden still

    Almost everyone rates it high: complex, fruity-yet-dark Demerara with beautifully integrated alcohol for 57%. The only real gripes are a slightly bitter finish and, for some, a thin-ish body.

  9. Best for: Fans of old, wood-forward cask-strength agricole

    The clear favorite of the Ephemeres series for most tasters: deep, dry and woody with dried fruit and spice. A few find the oak too present, but praise is nearly unanimous.

  10. Best for: Foursquare fans and anyone who likes woody, dried-fruit sippers

    Most rate this near the top of the ECS line — wood-forward, chocolatey and beautifully balanced. The only real gripe: some find it too safe and not that different from other Foursquares.

  11. Best for: Fans of balanced Jamaican funk and high-proof pot-still rum

    Widely rated the pick of the Great House run — funky, fruit-forward and unusually balanced for the ABV. A few find it slightly bitter or unremarkable, but most keep coming back.

  12. Best for: Bourbon-cask fans and Foursquare regulars who like woody, spicy, dry-ish rum

    A repeat favorite in the ECS line — balanced, spicy and woody with coconut-vanilla-toffee richness. The main knock: it's typical Foursquare, so it won't surprise anyone deep into the range.

  13. Best for: Fans of Jamaican ester funk and tropical fruit

    A well-liked Hampden that most call the best in years, back on form after 2024. Fruity, funky, oily, with well-integrated alcohol. A few still miss the depth of older editions.

  14. Best for: Fans of heavy, dark Demerara profiles

    Widely loved as one of the better 2006 REVs and a strong value. Most flag it's punchier and less refined than the 1994 vintage; a few find it too woody and bitter.

  15. Best for: Hampden fans who like funk with balance, not a full ester bomb

    Loved as a rounded, fruit-and-funk Hampden with well-integrated alcohol. The catch: some find it a bit woody, young or middle-of-the-road, and hyped beyond what's in the glass.
