South Pacific Distilleries in Lautoka is Fiji’s main rum producer, and for most of its history the spirit left the island quietly in bulk. It took independent bottlers to put Fiji on the map — the celebrated 2001 vintage in particular turned a lot of heads once casks started appearing under labels like Rum Artesanal, TCRL and various small European outfits.
