Beenleigh has been distilling in Queensland since 1884, which makes it one of the oldest working rum distilleries in Australia. Most of what the RumX community drinks, though, isn’t the domestic bottling — it’s aged stock picked up by independent bottlers like Velier, Rum Artesanal, Maison Ferrand and the Rumclub Private Selection, who mature it in Europe and release it at cask strength.
