The lineup nods to Columbus with the ship names Pinta, Niña and Santa Maria, the last of these becoming a rotating series of cask-finished releases rather than a single bottling.

Production leans on aged Dominican column-still rum, typically bottled at low to moderate strength and, by most tasters’ accounts, sweetened. The exception is the 151, a 75.5% overproof aimed at Tiki drinks and cocktails, though even there some reviewers detect caramel and doubt the “unsweetened” label. The Santa Maria finishes run through Oloroso and Marsala into Pinot Noir, Rivesaltes, Recioto, Tokaji and a peated Islay cask.
