Appleton Estate has distilled in Jamaica’s Nassau Valley since the 18th century, aging its rum tropically on site. Joy Spence, the industry’s first female master blender, shapes the house character, and the estate’s limestone-filtered water and column-and-pot still blend give these rums their signature mix of structure and fruit.

Production centers on molasses-based fermentation and blending across pot and column stills, with maturation in ex-bourbon oak under Jamaican heat. Compared to the island’s high-ester houses, Appleton dials the funk back in favor of vanilla, caramel and dried fruit.

The range runs from the young Signature and Reserve blends through the widely stocked Rare Casks 12 Year, up to the 15 Year Black River Casks, the 21 Year Nassau Valley Casks, and limited releases like Legend and Joy.
