Which bottling is the better one is decided neither by price nor by the age on the label. Here they stand side by side, sorted by the community's median rating. The number of ratings sits next to it: a high score from few voices says less than a middling one from many.

as of
Admiral Rodney comes from St. Lucia Distillers, where blends are built largely from the base of the Coffey column still and aged in ex-bourbon American oak, then bottled at a gentle 40%. Most of the range is named for ships from the 1782 Battle of the Saintes, and the house style runs sweet, soft and vanilla-forward, with caramel, dried fruit and warm baking spice on top.
Across 475 community reviews the brand sits at a median of 7.5/10. Reviewers tend to call these easy, rounded sippers with decent complexity for the low proof, though a recurring note is that the alcohol can feel thin or slightly spirity, and several find the sweeter bottlings pleasant but a little safe.
RumX’s 0–10 scale is strict: 7.5 sits in the “Good” band. 69% of tasters rate it Good or better; only 2% rate it below average. See the full rating guide →
