Valinch & Mallet is an Italian independent bottler that has built its name on the “Spirit of Art” line — single casks and small blends drawn from the distilleries rum drinkers chase hardest: New Yarmouth, Enmore, Long Pond, Hampden and Clarendon. The house tends to bottle at a strength chosen for the cask rather than a fixed cask-strength dogma, and several members note the reduced-proof releases drink well straight from the bottle.
